Design and Build
The Blackview Rock 2 features a tough and ضخ design designed for harsh environments. It measures 188.6 × 89.7 × 25.3 mm and weighs 548 grams, so it feels very heavy but extremely durable.
Moreover, it supports dual Nano-SIM functionality. It also carries IP68/IP69K certification, which protects against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets. In addition, it meets MIL-STD-810H standards, so it can handle drops, shocks, and extreme conditions.
Display
The device includes a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. As a result, users get smoother scrolling compared to standard displays.
It offers a resolution of 720 × 1604 pixels with around 264 PPI density. Although the resolution is not very high, the display performs well for outdoor usage. Furthermore, Panda Glass protection with Mohs level 5 adds extra durability.
Performance and Software
The Blackview Rock 2 runs on Android 16 with DokeOS 5.0. It uses the Unisoc T8100 chipset built on a 6nm process.
Additionally, the octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU deliver stable performance for daily tasks. While it is not a gaming-focused device, it handles apps, browsing, and multitasking efficiently.
The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Furthermore, users can expand storage using a microSD card, although it uses a shared SIM slot.
Camera
The Blackview Rock 2 features a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP main sensor and an auxiliary lens. Therefore, it captures decent photos in normal conditions.
It supports HDR and includes an LED flash for low-light shots. On the front, the device offers a 13MP selfie camera. In addition, both cameras support 1080p video recording.
Sound and Connectivity
The device includes a loudspeaker for audio output. However, it does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, and multiple positioning systems such as GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS. Besides that, it includes NFC and FM radio, which add extra functionality.
Features and Sensors
The Blackview Rock 2 includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking. Moreover, it offers essential sensors such as an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, and compass.
Battery
One of the biggest highlights of the Blackview Rock 2 is its massive 15000 mAh battery. As a result, it delivers extremely long battery life, making it ideal for outdoor adventures.
It supports 33W wired charging. Furthermore, it includes 5W reverse wired charging, so users can charge other devices when needed.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Blackview Rock 2 is a powerful rugged smartphone designed for durability and endurance. It focuses on strength, battery life, and reliability rather than slim design.
