The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is a flagship smartphone that combines an advanced display, powerful hardware, versatile cameras, and a large battery. Xiaomi announced and released the device on September 23, 2026. Therefore, the phone is already available.
Design and Build
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max features a premium design with a glass front made from Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3 and an aluminum frame. It measures 163.4 × 77.6 × 8.4 mm and weighs between 235 and 240 grams.
Moreover, the phone supports dual Nano-SIM connectivity. It also carries IP68 protection, allowing it to resist dust and water while supporting immersion up to 6 meters for 30 minutes.
Display
The smartphone features a large 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports 68 billion colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and BT.2020.
Furthermore, the display can reach up to 4000 nits peak brightness. It offers a resolution of 1208 × 2624 pixels with around 418 PPI density. As a result, users can enjoy sharp and vibrant visuals.
Another unique feature is the 2.9-inch secondary LTPO AMOLED display on the rear. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4000 nits brightness.
Performance and Software
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max runs Android 17 with HyperOS 4. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, built on an advanced 2nm process.
Additionally, its octa-core CPU can reach speeds of up to 5GHz. The phone comes with several storage configurations, including 256GB with 12GB RAM, 512GB with 12GB or 16GB RAM, and 1TB with 16GB RAM.
The device also uses UFS 4.1 storage for fast data access. However, Xiaomi does not provide a microSD card slot.
Camera
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max features a powerful triple rear camera system. It includes a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
Moreover, the camera system includes Leica lenses, laser autofocus, a color spectrum sensor, and dual-tone LED flash. Therefore, users can capture detailed photos across different shooting conditions.
The phone supports 8K video recording at 30fps. In addition, it can record 4K video at up to 120fps with HDR10+, 10-bit Dolby Vision HDR, and 10-bit LOG.
For selfies, the device features a 50MP front camera with PDAF. It can also record 4K video at 30fps and 60fps.
Sound and Connectivity
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max delivers immersive audio through a three-speaker stereo system with Dolby Atmos. It also supports 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res audio and Hi-Res wireless audio.
However, the phone does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an infrared port.
Furthermore, the device supports GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, and NavIC. It also includes USB Type-C 3.2 with DisplayPort and OTG support.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max includes an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. In addition, it offers an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, barometer, and Ultra Wideband (UWB) support.
Battery
The phone packs a large 8500 mAh battery, which provides plenty of power for daily use. Moreover, it supports 100W wired charging with PD 3.0, QC 3+, and 100W PPS.
It also supports 50W wireless charging. Additionally, the phone can provide 27W reverse wireless charging for compatible devices.
