The Blackview Rock 3 is a rugged smartphone built for extreme environments. It combines durability, massive battery life, and specialized features like a thermal camera and powerful flashlight. The company announced and released it in February 2026, so it is already available in the market.
Design and Build
The Blackview Rock 3 features a tough and bulky design. It measures 181 × 82 × 18.1 mm and weighs 388 grams, so it feels heavy but extremely solid.
Moreover, it supports dual Nano-SIM functionality. It also comes with IP68/IP69K certification and MIL-STD-810H compliance. As a result, the device resists dust, water, and harsh conditions, including high-pressure water jets.
In addition, it includes a dedicated 400-lumen LED flashlight, which makes it useful for outdoor adventures and emergency situations.
Display
The device includes a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Therefore, users experience smoother scrolling and better responsiveness.
It offers a resolution of 1080 × 2460 pixels with ~396 PPI density. Furthermore, the display reaches up to 750 nits brightness, so users can view content clearly even outdoors.
For protection, it uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Mohs level 5 hardness. As a result, it can resist scratches and minor impacts.
Performance and Software
The Blackview Rock 3 runs on Android 16 and uses the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset built on a 6nm process.
Additionally, the octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU deliver stable performance for daily tasks and moderate gaming. While it is not a flagship processor, it performs reliably in tough conditions.
The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Furthermore, users can expand storage using a microSD card (shared SIM slot).
Camera
The Blackview Rock 3 offers a unique camera setup. It features a 108MP main camera that captures detailed photos.
More importantly, it includes a thermal camera sensor (160 × 120 px). Therefore, users can detect heat sources, which is useful for industrial work, outdoor survival, and technical inspections.
On the front, it provides a 50MP selfie camera. In addition, both cameras support HDR, and the rear camera records video up to 1440p.
Sound and Connectivity
The device delivers strong audio through stereo speakers. However, it does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi dual-band, Bluetooth 5.2, and multiple navigation systems such as GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, and QZSS. Besides that, it includes NFC and FM radio, which add extra functionality.
Features and Sensors
The Blackview Rock 3 includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking. In addition, it offers essential sensors like an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, and compass.
Battery
One of the biggest highlights of the Blackview Rock 3 is its massive 10000 mAh battery. As a result, it easily lasts multiple days on a single charge.
It supports 27W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wired charging. Therefore, users can also use it to charge other devices.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Blackview Rock 3 stands out as a powerful rugged smartphone. It combines extreme durability, a huge battery, and unique tools like a thermal camera and strong flashlight.
