Design and Build
The Oscal Pilot8 features a thick and highly durable design. It measures 178.7 × 85.4 × 17.9 mm and weighs 389 grams, so it feels solid and rugged in hand.
Moreover, it supports dual Nano-SIM along with eSIM functionality. It also carries IP68/IP69K certification, which means it resists dust, water, and high-pressure jets. In addition, it can survive drops up to 1.2 meters and meets MIL-STD-810H standards. As a result, users can rely on it in harsh environments.
Display
The device includes a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Therefore, it delivers smooth scrolling and responsive performance.
It offers a resolution of 1280 × 2772 pixels with around 447 PPI density. Furthermore, the display reaches up to 600 nits brightness, which ensures decent visibility outdoors. It also uses CSG KK9 Glass with Mohs level 5 hardness for added protection.
Performance and Software
The Oscal Pilot8 runs on Android 16 with DokeOS 5.0. It uses the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-6690 chipset built on a 4nm process.
Additionally, the octa-core CPU clocked at 2.9 GHz and Adreno GPU provide strong performance. Whether users multitask or run demanding apps, the phone handles tasks efficiently.
The device comes in two variants: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Furthermore, users can expand storage via a microSD card using the shared SIM slot.
Camera
The Oscal Pilot8 stands out with its versatile triple camera system. It includes a 108MP main camera for detailed shots.
In addition, it features a 20MP night vision camera with infrared lights, which allows photography in complete darkness. It also includes a thermal camera (160×120, 25Hz), which is useful for professional and outdoor applications.
Moreover, the camera supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps. On the front, it offers a 50MP selfie camera with 4K video support, ensuring high-quality photos and videos.
Sound and Connectivity
The device delivers loud audio through a powerful 4.5W speaker. However, it does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6/7, Bluetooth 6.0, and multiple global positioning systems for accurate navigation. Besides that, it includes NFC and an infrared port, which add extra convenience.
Features and Sensors
The Oscal Pilot8 includes an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. In addition, it offers essential sensors like an accelerometer, gyro, and compass.
Battery
One of the biggest highlights of the Oscal Pilot8 is its massive 10200 mAh battery. As a result, users can rely on it for extended usage without frequent charging.
It supports 55W wired charging and reverse wired charging. Therefore, it not only charges quickly but can also power other devices when needed.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Oscal Pilot8 is a powerful rugged smartphone designed for durability, performance, and specialized use.
