Motorola has not officially announced the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra yet. However, current information suggests the device remains in the rumor stage. Therefore, availability details will become clearer closer to launch.
Body
The Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is expected to feature a premium build with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front. Meanwhile, Motorola may offer either a wooden back or an eco-leather silicone polymer finish, both paired with an aluminum frame. Additionally, the phone should support Nano-SIM and eSIM. With IP68/IP69 certification, it will likely resist dust, high-pressure water jets, and short underwater immersion.
Display
The device is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. As a result, animations and scrolling should feel extremely fluid. Moreover, the panel supports 1B colors and HDR10+, which enhances contrast and color accuracy. The 1220 × 2712 resolution delivers a sharp ~444 ppi density, while Gorilla Glass Victus 2 adds strong protection.
Platform
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is expected to run Android 16 out of the box. In addition, Motorola promises up to five major Android upgrades, which ensures long-term software support. Powering the device, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset should deliver flagship-level performance. Therefore, demanding apps, gaming, and multitasking should run effortlessly.
Memory
The phone may launch with high-end storage options, including 512GB with 16GB RAM and 1TB with 16GB RAM. As a result, users will get massive storage without needing a card slot. Furthermore, UFS 4.1 storage should significantly improve app loading and data transfer speeds.
Main Camera
The Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is rumored to feature a versatile triple-camera setup. It includes a 50 MP wide sensor with multi-directional PDAF and OIS for sharp images. Additionally, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera offers 3× optical zoom with stabilization. A third 50 MP ultrawide lens captures expansive scenes with better edge clarity. Laser AF and dual-LED flash further enhance camera performance.
Video
The rear camera system should support 4K video at 30 and 60fps. Moreover, it may record high-speed 1080p videos up to 960fps. With 10-bit HDR10+ and gyro-EIS, video quality should remain smooth and color-accurate.
Selfie Camera
On the front, the device is expected to feature a 50 MP selfie camera with PDAF. As a result, selfies should appear sharper and more detailed. It also supports HDR and 4K video recording, which is ideal for content creators and video calls.
Sound
The Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is likely to include stereo speakers with Snapdragon Sound support. Therefore, audio output should feel richer and more immersive. However, the device will not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Connectivity
Connectivity options appear extensive. The phone may support tri-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and advanced GPS systems including NavIC. In addition, NFC and Ultra Wideband (UWB) support improve smart tracking and digital payments. USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 with DisplayPort 1.4 enables fast data transfer and external display support.
Features
Security features include an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Besides that, the phone is expected to support Smart Connect (Ready For), which allows seamless integration with external displays and PCs. Standard sensors such as gyro, proximity, compass, and accelerometer are also present.
Battery
Although Motorola has not revealed the battery capacity yet, charging speeds look impressive. The Edge 70 Ultra may support 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. As a result, users can expect very fast top-ups and flexible power sharing.
