Huawei announced the device on September 3, 2026, and expects to release it in September 2026. Therefore, the phone currently remains in the “coming soon” category.
Design and Build
The Huawei nova 16s Pro features a premium design with a glass front, aluminum frame, and glass back. It measures 163 × 78 × 7.1 mm and weighs 218 grams. As a result, the phone offers a slim profile while maintaining a solid feel.
Moreover, it supports dual Nano-SIM functionality. The device also carries an IP65 rating, which helps protect it from dust and low-pressure water jets. In addition, Huawei offers the phone in Black, Blue/Pink, and Blue.
Display
The device features a large 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Therefore, users can enjoy smooth scrolling, animations, and gaming.
It offers a sharp 1320 × 2856 pixel resolution with around 460 PPI density. Furthermore, the display supports 1 billion colors, HDR Vivid, and 2160Hz PWM. The panel can also reach up to 6000 nits peak brightness, while Kunlun Glass provides added protection.
Performance and Software
The Huawei nova 16s Pro runs on EMUI 16, which uses an Android-based platform. It relies on the Kirin 9010S chipset for processing power.
In addition, the phone comes with 12GB RAM and offers 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. However, it does not include a memory card slot, so users must choose their preferred storage capacity when purchasing the device.
Camera
The Huawei nova 16s Pro features an advanced triple rear camera system. It includes a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus.
As a result, the camera setup can handle detailed photos, distant subjects, and wide scenes. Moreover, features such as laser autofocus, HDR, panorama, and a color spectrum sensor further improve the photography experience.
For selfies, Huawei provides a 50MP ultrawide front camera with Dual Pixel PDAF. Additionally, both camera systems support 4K video recording, gyro-EIS, and HDR Vivid.
Sound and Connectivity
The phone provides stereo speakers for a more immersive multimedia experience. However, it does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For wireless connectivity, the Huawei nova 16s Pro supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6/7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Furthermore, it supports GPS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, NavIC, and GLONASS for navigation.
The device also includes NFC and an infrared port. Meanwhile, the USB Type-C 2.0 port supports OTG functionality.
Features and Sensors
The Huawei nova 16s Pro includes an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for convenient unlocking. In addition, it offers an accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass.
The phone also uses virtual proximity sensing, which helps manage proximity-related functions without a traditional proximity sensor.
Battery
One of the major highlights of the Huawei nova 16s Pro is its 7000 mAh battery. Therefore, users can expect extended battery life for browsing, streaming, gaming, and everyday tasks.
Furthermore, the phone supports 100W wired charging with SCP, UFCS, PD, PPS, and QC standards. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to provide power to compatible accessories.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Huawei nova 16s Pro offers a strong combination of premium design, a bright 120Hz OLED display, powerful cameras, and a large battery.
