The Huawei MatePad Air Z is a large-screen tablet designed for productivity, entertainment, and creative work. It combines a high-refresh-rate display, stylus support, a large battery, and a slim aluminum design. Huawei announced the tablet on September 30, 2026, and released it on the same day.
Design and Build
The Huawei MatePad Air Z features a premium build with a glass front, aluminum frame, and aluminum back. It measures 183.6 × 270.5 × 5.9 mm and weighs 555 grams. Therefore, the tablet remains impressively slim despite its large screen and battery.
Moreover, the tablet supports a stylus, making it useful for note-taking, drawing, and other productivity tasks. Huawei offers the device in Orange, Blue, and Gray.
Display
The tablet features a large 12.0-inch IPS LCD display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. As a result, scrolling, animations, and supported content look fluid and responsive.

Camera
