HMD announced the device on February 10, 2026, and it is expected to reach the market later in February.

Rugged and Practical Design

HMD builds the HMD Terra M like a tank. The phone measures 146.5 x 66 x 14.5 mm, and therefore it stays compact yet extremely tough. Although it weighs 210 g, that extra weight adds confidence during heavy-duty work.

Furthermore, the handset carries IP68/IP69K protection, so it resists dust, water immersion, and high-pressure jets. In addition, it meets MIL-STD-810H standards and survives drops from up to 1.8 meters.

HMD also adds a dedicated red LED torch, which proves useful at night or in emergency situations. Besides that, you get two programmable keys, and consequently you can launch important tools instantly.

Display

The HMD Terra M features a 2.8-inch TFT LCD panel. Even though it focuses on practicality, the screen still pushes 550 nits of brightness, so outdoor visibility remains strong.

Moreover, the 480 x 640 resolution delivers sharp icons and readable text. HMD protects the display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and therefore it handles scratches and rough use better.

Performance and Software

HMD runs the phone on Smart OS 14. Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM2290 chipset powers daily tasks with a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 702 GPU.

The HMD Terra M includes 32GB internal storage paired with 2GB RAM. Therefore, you can store applications, files, and media comfortably for work needs.

HMD uses eMMC 5.1 storage, which ensures stable performance during everyday operations.

Camera

For quick documentation, HMD equips the phone with an 8 MP rear camera. It supports autofocus and an LED flash, so you can capture clear images in different lighting conditions.

However, the company skips a selfie camera. Instead, it prioritizes durability and professional functionality.

Sound

The HMD Terra M delivers powerful audio through a 100 dB loudspeaker. As a result, calls and alerts remain audible even in noisy environments.

Connectivity

HMD gives the device a solid communication package. You get Wi-Fi dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, and global positioning systems including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS.

Additionally, NFC support allows quick authentication and payments where available. Charging and accessories connect via USB Type-C and special magnetic pins, which expand industrial use.

Features
