The Fairphone 6+ is a modern smartphone that combines sustainable design, long-term software support, and practical hardware. Fairphone announced the device on August 19, 2026, and released it on the same day. Therefore, the Fairphone 6+ is already available.

Design and Build

The Fairphone 6+ measures 156.6 × 73.3 × 9.6 mm and weighs 193 grams. It uses a durable construction with a modular approach, which makes the phone easier to maintain and customize.

Furthermore, the device supports Nano-SIM and eSIM connectivity. It carries an IP55 rating for dust protection and resistance to low-pressure water jets. In addition, MIL-STD-810H compliance and 1.5-meter drop resistance add extra durability.

The phone also supports modular back-panel accessories. Users can attach compatible accessories after removing the required screws.

Display

The device features a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. As a result, users get smooth animations, responsive scrolling, and an immersive viewing experience.

The screen offers a 1116 × 2484 pixel resolution with around 432 PPI density. Moreover, it supports 1 billion colors and reaches up to 1,400 nits peak brightness.

For protection, Fairphone uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i with Mohs level 6 resistance. Therefore, the display can handle everyday scratches and minor impacts more effectively.

Performance and Software

The Fairphone 6+ runs Android 16 and supports up to six major Android OS updates. This long-term software commitment makes the phone a strong option for users who want to keep their device for several years.

Battery
