Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy M08 on October 1, 2026, and expects to release it in October 2026. At present, the phone is listed as “coming soon.”
Design and Build
The Samsung Galaxy M08 features a simple and practical design with a glass front, plastic back, and plastic frame. It measures 167.4 × 77.4 × 8 mm and weighs 197 grams.
Moreover, the phone supports dual Nano-SIM cards. It also carries an IP64 rating, which helps protect it from dust and water splashes. Samsung offers the device in a Silver color option.
Display
The device features a large 6.7-inch PLS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. As a result, scrolling and screen animations should feel smoother than on standard 60Hz displays.
The screen provides a 720 × 1600 pixel resolution with around 262 PPI density. Therefore, it works well for everyday browsing, watching videos, reading, and social media.
Performance and Software
The Samsung Galaxy M08 runs Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9 interface. In addition, Samsung plans to provide up to six major OS updates, which gives the phone extended software support.
The device uses the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset, built on a 6nm process. Its octa-core CPU combines Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores, while the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU handles graphics tasks.
Furthermore, the phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Users can also add a microSDXC card through the dedicated card slot to expand storage.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy M08 features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP main camera. The main sensor includes PDAF for faster focusing, while an auxiliary lens supports the camera system.
The rear camera can record 1080p video at up to 60fps. Meanwhile, the 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Sound and Connectivity
The smartphone includes a built-in loudspeaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Therefore, users can connect traditional wired headphones without an adapter.
For connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy M08 supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.3. In addition, it includes GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS for navigation.
The phone also supports FM radio and uses a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. However, it does not include NFC.
Features and Sensors
The Samsung Galaxy M08 includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for convenient unlocking. Furthermore, it features an accelerometer and proximity sensor for everyday device functions.
Battery
The phone packs a large 6000mAh battery. As a result, it can provide extended usage for browsing, streaming, calls, and other daily activities.
It supports 25W wired charging, which allows users to recharge the battery faster than standard basic charging solutions.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy M08 combines a large 90Hz display, efficient performance, a 6000mAh battery, and extended software support. In addition, features such as a dedicated microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and IP64 protection add practical value for everyday users.
