The Honor Magic9 Super is an upcoming flagship smartphone that combines a powerful Snapdragon processor, a high-resolution camera system, a bright OLED display, and a massive battery. Honor announced the device on September 28, 2026, and plans to release it on October 8, 2026. Therefore, the phone currently remains in the “coming soon” category.

Design and Build

The Honor Magic9 Super features a premium design with a glass front and aluminum frame. It measures 161.8 × 76.7 × 8.1 mm and weighs 227 grams. As a result, the phone offers a slim profile while maintaining a solid build.

Moreover, it supports dual Nano-SIM functionality. The device also carries IP68/IP69K protection, which helps protect it from dust, water splashes, and high-pressure water jets. In addition, Honor includes a built-in cooling fan to help manage heat during demanding tasks.

Display

The phone features a 6.81-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Therefore, users can enjoy smooth scrolling, fluid animations, and responsive gaming.

The panel offers a 1280 × 2788 pixel resolution with around 450 PPI density. Furthermore, it supports 1 billion colors, HDR, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.

The display reaches 2,000 nits in HBM mode. Honor also lists a peak brightness of 10,000 nits under specific isolated-spot conditions during video playback. As a result, the screen can deliver strong brightness for supported content.

Performance and Software

The Honor Magic9 Super runs Android 17 with MagicOS 11. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which Qualcomm builds on a 3nm process.

Additionally, the octa-core CPU reaches up to 4.6GHz, while the Adreno 840 GPU handles graphics processing. Therefore, the phone can support demanding apps, multitasking, and high-end gaming.

Honor offers the device with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM, or 512GB storage with 12GB or 16GB RAM. However, the phone does not include a microSD card slot.

Camera

The Honor Magic9 Super features a triple rear camera system. It combines a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

As a result, the camera setup covers different photography situations. Moreover, the system includes a color spectrum sensor, LED flash, HDR, and panorama features.

The phone can record 4K video at up to 120fps. In addition, gyro-EIS, OIS, and HDR help improve video recording.

For selfies, the device uses a 50MP front camera. Furthermore, the selfie camera supports 4K recording at 30fps and 60fps.

Sound and Connectivity

The Honor Magic9 Super includes stereo speakers for a more immersive audio experience. However, it does not provide a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For wireless connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7, along with Bluetooth 6.0. Additionally, it offers NFC, an infrared port, and multiple satellite navigation systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, QZSS, and NavIC.

The device uses a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support.

Features and Sensors

The phone includes an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for convenient unlocking. In addition, it provides an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass.

The built-in cooling fan adds another useful feature. Therefore, the device can actively manage heat during extended gaming or other demanding workloads.

Battery

One of the biggest highlights of the Honor Magic9 Super is its huge 11,000 mAh battery. As a result, users can expect a strong battery capacity for extended daily use.

The phone supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Furthermore, it supports 27W reverse wired charging and reverse wireless charging, allowing users to share power with compatible devices.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Honor Magic9 Super combines a large battery, powerful hardware, advanced cameras, and a high-brightness OLED display. Moreover, its 120Hz refresh rate, built-in cooling fan, and multiple charging options add to its feature set.
