The Motorola Moto Pad 70 is a newly released tablet that combines a large high-resolution display, solid performance, stylus support, and a large battery. It targets users who want a capable device for entertainment, productivity, studying, and everyday tasks.
Motorola announced and released the tablet on August 18, 2026. Therefore, the Motorola Moto Pad 70 is now available for users.
Design and Build
The Motorola Moto Pad 70 features a slim and premium design with dimensions of 278.8 × 181.1 × 6.5 mm. It weighs 540 grams, so it remains relatively lightweight for a 12.1-inch tablet.
Moreover, the device combines a glass front with an aluminum frame and aluminum back. It also offers splash resistance for added protection during everyday use. In addition, stylus support makes the tablet useful for note-taking, drawing, and productivity.
Display
The tablet features a large 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. As a result, scrolling and animations appear smoother than on standard 60Hz panels.
Furthermore, the screen supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision for improved contrast and color quality. It reaches up to 800 nits brightness, while the 2560 × 1600 resolution delivers sharp visuals with around 249 PPI density.
Performance and Software
The Moto Pad 70 runs Android 16 and supports up to two major OS updates. It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which follows a 6nm manufacturing process.
Additionally, its octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU provide reliable performance for browsing, streaming, productivity, and light gaming. The tablet comes with two storage configurations:
- 128GB storage with 8GB RAM
- 256GB storage with 8GB RAM
Furthermore, users can expand the storage through the dedicated microSDXC card slot.
Camera
The Motorola Moto Pad 70 features a 13MP rear camera that can record 1080p video at 30fps. Therefore, it can handle basic photography, document scanning, and everyday video recording.
On the front, the tablet includes an 8MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording. As a result, it works well for video calls, online classes, and virtual meetings.
Sound and Connectivity
The tablet offers a strong audio experience through four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Therefore, movies, music, and games can sound more immersive.
However, the device does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, users can connect compatible audio accessories through USB Type-C or Bluetooth.
For wireless connectivity, the Motorola Moto Pad 70 supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. However, it does not include GPS, NFC, or FM radio.
Features and Sensors
The tablet includes an accelerometer and a proximity sensor designed for accessory functions. In addition, its stylus support expands its usefulness for creative work, handwriting, and productivity.
Battery
The Motorola Moto Pad 70 packs a large 10,200mAh Li-Ion battery. Therefore, it can provide extended usage for streaming, browsing, studying, and other daily activities.
Moreover, the tablet supports 68W wired charging. As a result, users can recharge the large battery faster and spend less time connected to a charger.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Motorola Moto Pad 70 offers a strong combination of display quality, performance, audio, and battery capacity. The 12.1-inch 90Hz display, Dolby Vision, four-speaker setup, and stylus support make it particularly useful for entertainment and productivity.
