The Blackview Zeno 1 is a compact Android tablet designed for productivity and entertainment. Released in September 2025, it offers stylus support, a built-in kickstand, and a large battery, which makes it suitable for students and casual users.

Design and Build Quality

Blackview gives the Zeno 1 a solid and practical design. The tablet measures 198.6 × 125.9 × 8.2 mm and weighs 336.5 grams, which feels manageable for an 8-inch device.

Moreover, the built-in kickstand allows hands-free viewing, while stylus support improves note-taking and drawing. In addition, Mohs level 5 protection helps reduce everyday scratches.

Display Experience

The 8.0-inch IPS LCD display delivers a 90Hz refresh rate, which ensures smoother scrolling than standard panels. Although the resolution stays at 800 × 1280 pixels, it still works well for reading, browsing, and video streaming.

Furthermore, 350 nits brightness provides acceptable indoor visibility. The 16:10 aspect ratio also makes the tablet suitable for productivity tasks.

Software and Performance

The Blackview Zeno 1 runs on Android 15 with DokeOS 4.2. The interface remains clean and easy to navigate. Meanwhile, the Unisoc T615 chipset handles daily tasks like browsing, video playback, and light multitasking without issues.

Thanks to the Cortex-A75 CPU cores, basic performance stays responsive. However, the tablet suits casual use rather than heavy gaming.

Memory and Storage Options

Blackview offers two storage variants:

  • 64GB storage with 4GB RAM (eMMC 5.1)
  • 256GB storage with 6GB RAM (UFS)

As a result, users can choose faster performance with the higher variant. Additionally, the tablet supports microSD cards, which helps expand storage easily.

Camera Performance

The tablet includes an 8MP rear camera, which handles document scanning and casual photography. It also supports HDR and 1080p video recording.

On the front, the 8MP selfie camera works well for video calls and online classes. It also records 1080p videos, which is useful for meetings.

Audio and Connectivity

The stereo speakers deliver loud and clear sound for videos and online learning. Moreover, the 3.5mm headphone jack allows wired audio without adapters.

Connectivity features include:

  • Dual-band Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • GPS with global positioning systems
  • USB Type-C with OTG
  • FM Radio

However, the tablet does not include NFC.

Battery Life and Charging

The 6000mAh Li-Po battery provides reliable all-day usage for browsing and media consumption. Although charging stays limited to 10W, the battery backup compensates for the slower charging speed.

Sensors and Security

The tablet includes basic sensors such as an accelerometer. Since it targets productivity and media use, Blackview keeps the setup simple.

Final Verdict

The Blackview Zeno 1 works well as an affordable Android tablet with stylus support, a smooth 90Hz display, and a built-in kickstand. While the resolution and charging speed remain basic, the overall package suits students, note-takers, and casual users who want a versatile tablet at a reasonable price.
