The Realme C83 is an upcoming budget smartphone that focuses on battery life, smooth display performance, and everyday usability. Realme announced the device on March 6, 2026, and it is expected to release on March 7, 2026.
The phone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, which brings updated features, better optimization, and a clean user experience.
Design and Build
The Realme C83 features a practical and durable design. The device includes a glass front with a plastic frame and plastic back. It measures 166.3 × 78.1 × 8.4 mm and weighs 212 grams, which feels reasonable for a phone with a large battery.
The phone also offers IP64 protection. As a result, it can resist dust and light water splashes. In addition, the device follows MIL-STD-810H certification standards, which indicate improved durability in certain conditions.
Another unique element is the RGB notification light on the back panel. This light alerts users about calls, messages, and notifications.
The device will be available in Blooming Purple and Sprouting Green color options.
Display
The Realme C83 features a large 6.8-inch IPS LCD display. The screen delivers a 720 × 1570 resolution with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and system animations smoother. Because of this feature, the phone can feel faster during everyday use.
Moreover, the screen can reach 900 nits peak brightness, which improves visibility when using the phone outdoors.
Performance and Software
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset powers the Realme C83. This processor uses a 6 nm architecture, which balances performance and efficiency.
The CPU includes two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. As a result, the device handles everyday apps, browsing, and multitasking smoothly.
For graphics processing, the phone uses the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This GPU supports casual gaming and multimedia tasks.
The device offers several storage options. These include 64GB with 4GB RAM, 128GB with 4GB RAM, and 128GB with 6GB RAM. In addition, users can expand storage through microSD cards using the shared SIM slot.
Camera
The Realme C83 includes a simple camera system designed for basic photography.
The rear camera uses a 13 MP wide sensor. This camera supports HDR, panorama, and LED flash, which helps capture decent photos in good lighting conditions.
The rear camera also records 1080p video at 30 fps.
On the front, the phone includes a 5 MP selfie camera. This camera works well for video calls and casual selfies.
Audio and Connectivity
The Realme C83 includes a loudspeaker for media playback. Unlike many modern smartphones, the device also retains a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which allows users to connect wired headphones easily.
For connectivity, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and several positioning systems including GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, QZSS, and BDS.
The device also includes USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support for charging and data transfer.
Battery and Charging
Battery life stands out as one of the biggest strengths of the Realme C83.
The phone packs a large 7000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which should provide excellent endurance for streaming, gaming, and daily use.
The device supports 15W wired charging. Although charging speeds are moderate, the large battery ensures long usage time.
In addition, the phone supports reverse wired charging, allowing it to power other small devices. It also includes bypass charging, which powers the device directly during gaming and helps reduce battery stress.
Final Thoughts
The Realme C83 focuses on battery life, smooth display performance, and practical everyday features. Its 144Hz display, Dimensity 6300 processor, RGB notification light, and massive 7000 mAh battery make it a solid option in the budget smartphone category.
