Oukitel WP53

Oukitel announced the Oukitel WP53 in June 2025. Soon after the announcement, the company released the device in the same month, making it readily available in the rugged smartphone market.

Body

The Oukitel WP53 features a solid and ultra-rugged design with dimensions of 172.2 × 80.5 × 18.5 mm and a weight of 388.7 g. Although the phone feels heavy, it focuses on maximum durability. It supports dual Nano-SIM cards and meets IP68/IP69K ratings. Moreover, the device survives drops up to 1.5 meters and complies with MIL-STD-810H standards. A dedicated flood flashlight further enhances usability in low-light and emergency situations.

Display

The smartphone comes with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display that reaches up to 400 nits of brightness. As a result, the screen remains visible outdoors. The 576 × 1280 resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio delivers acceptable clarity for daily tasks. Additionally, AGC Dragontrail glass and Mohs level 5 protection improve scratch resistance.

Platform

Oukitel runs the WP53 on Android 15, which provides a smooth and updated software experience. Meanwhile, the Unisoc T615 chipset, built on a 12 nm process, ensures stable performance. Its octa-core CPU balances efficiency and power, while the Mali-G57 MP1 GPU handles basic graphics smoothly.

Memory

The device offers 128GB of internal storage paired with 8GB of RAM. Furthermore, users can expand storage via a microSDXC card, although it uses a shared SIM slot.

Main Camera

The Oukitel WP53 features a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP wide sensor and an auxiliary lens. The camera supports LED flash, HDR, and panorama modes. In addition, it records videos at 1080p@30fps, which suits everyday recording needs.

Selfie Camera

On the front, a 5MP wide selfie camera handles video calls and casual selfies. It records videos at 720p@30fps, which remains sufficient for basic use.

Sound

The phone delivers extremely loud audio through its built-in loudspeaker, reaching up to 128 dB with a 3W peak output. Therefore, the device performs well in noisy environments. However, it does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Connectivity

The Oukitel WP53 supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for reliable wireless connectivity. It also includes GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, and BDS for accurate navigation. Moreover, NFC support adds convenience for compatible services, while the FM radio provides offline entertainment. A USB Type-C 2.0 port handles charging and data transfer.

Features

Oukitel equips the WP53 with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass. As a result, the phone delivers both security and practicality.

Battery

A massive 11000 mAh Li-Po battery powers the Oukitel WP53 throughout extended outdoor use. Although it supports 18W wired charging, the large battery capacity ensures long-lasting performance between charges.
