Honor Magic9

The Honor Magic9 is an upcoming flagship smartphone that combines powerful hardware, advanced cameras, a high-resolution OLED display, and a large battery. Honor announced the device on September 28, 2026, and plans to release it on October 8, 2026. Therefore, the phone currently remains in the “coming soon” category.

Design and Build

The Honor Magic9 features a premium design with a glass front, glass back, and aluminum frame. It measures 151 × 72.3 × 8.5 mm and weighs 209 grams, making it relatively compact for a flagship smartphone.

Moreover, the phone supports dual Nano-SIM functionality. It also carries IP68/IP69K protection, which helps protect the device against dust, water splashes, and high-pressure water jets.

Display

The phone features a 6.37-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. As a result, users can enjoy smooth scrolling and fluid animations.

The display offers a 1236 × 2664 pixel resolution with around 461 PPI density. Furthermore, it supports 1 billion colors, Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.

The screen reaches 2,000 nits in HBM mode. Honor also lists a peak brightness of 10,000 nits under specific isolated-spot conditions during video playback. Therefore, supported HDR content can deliver strong brightness and contrast.

Performance and Software

The Honor Magic9 runs Android 17 with MagicOS 11. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which Qualcomm builds on a 3nm process.

Additionally, its octa-core CPU reaches up to 4.6GHz, while the Adreno 840 GPU handles graphics processing. Therefore, the phone can handle demanding applications, multitasking, and high-end gaming.

Honor offers several memory configurations. These include 256GB with 12GB RAM, 512GB with 12GB or 16GB RAM, and 1TB with 16GB RAM. However, the phone does not include a microSD card slot.

Camera

The Honor Magic9 features a triple rear camera system with two 200MP sensors. The main camera uses a 200MP wide sensor with OIS, while the periscope telephoto camera offers 3.5x optical zoom and OIS.
