The Acer Iconia A16 is a large-screen Android tablet announced on September 3, 2025. It became available in January 2026. This tablet focuses on productivity, media consumption, and classroom use. Moreover, its massive display and built-in kickstand enhance versatility.
Design and Build
The Acer Iconia A16 features a glass front and aluminum frame, which provide durability and a premium feel. In addition, it includes a built-in kickstand, allowing hands-free viewing and easier multitasking. The tablet measures 369.5 x 240.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 980 g, so it delivers a solid and sturdy presence. It does not support SIM cards, therefore it relies on Wi-Fi connectivity.
Display
The device sports a 16.0-inch IPS LCD display with a 1200 x 1920 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. As a result, users get a spacious viewing area with an 83.6% screen-to-body ratio. Although the pixel density is around 142 ppi, the large panel works well for streaming, browsing, and document editing.
The Acer Iconia A16 runs on the Allwinner A733 (12 nm) chipset. It uses an octa-core CPU (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) and an IMG BXM-4-64 MC01 GPU. Furthermore, it operates on Android 15, which ensures access to the latest apps and features. The tablet comes with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM, and it also supports a dedicated microSDXC card slot for storage expansion.
